Gonzales Soccer Club (GSC) is an independent, nonprofit, youth organization administered and managed mostly by volunteer adults. The mission of the Gonzales Soccer Club is to provide every player the opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer by providing a fun and safe environment, encouraging physical, mental, and social growth, while promoting integrity, good sportsmanship and the growth of soccer in our community.
The board of directors are elected by the general membership and are a policy making body responsible for the smooth administration of its four programs. The board relies on participation from hundreds of coaches and parents who volunteer many hours of their time to the youth of the club. The board of directors meets on the second Sunday of each month.
Gonzales Soccer Club (GSC) is proud to announce that it has entered into a partnership with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and will be a member of the NSCAA’s Club Standard’s Project. By joining the Club Standard’s Project, the NSCAA will conduct an assessment of the club and help us continue to build upon our strengths while also addressing any developmental needs that may be present. This will help create a blueprint for success to bring GSC to the next level and provide further benefits to our coaches, players, and families. Some key things that we look to build upon are player development, increased coaches curriculums and learning opportunities, and overall club stability. It will also provide our coaches with access to online coaching activities and benefits, motivational tools for technical skill development, and many more additional benefits.
