Gonzales Soccer Club (GSC) is an independent, nonprofit, youth organization administered and managed mostly by volunteer adults. The mission of the Gonzales Soccer Club is to provide every player the opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer by providing a fun and safe environment, encouraging physical, mental, and social growth, while promoting integrity, good sportsmanship and the growth of soccer in our community.
The executive committee members are elected by the general membership and are a policy making body responsible for the smooth administration of its four programs. The board relies on participation from hundreds of coaches and parents who volunteer many hours of their time to the youth of the club. The executive committee members meets on the second Sunday of each month.
NSCAA would like to welcome Gonzales Soccer Club and its Members to the NSCAA Player Development Curriculum Diploma Course. GSC is establishing an appropriate and consistent approach to player development. This first of its kind course supplements the organizations in-house coaching education program, complete with curriculum framework, videos, activities and planning support. The content is organized by 5 Stages of Development - players age 3-18+.
GSC Coaches will
a. download activity plans and coach right away,
b.receive coaching advice, tips, and answers to questions
c. receive a full color PDF curriculum manual at the end of the series
d. achieve an NSCAA Player Development Diploma for each stage
e. and new Members to NSCAA will receive a 6-month membership
Gonzales Soccer Club is pleased to announce our Competitive Program Player Assessment Process (PAP). The GSC PAP takes place at the end of every Spring Soccer Season, Post State Cup. The GSC PAP has been produced in accordance with the tryout period rules set by the LSA Competitive League Committee Tryout policy.
